Week 18

Hi everyone! It’s been a minute!

FIVE ROUNDS DOWN, ONE TO GO!

I’m so ready to be done with chemo!

Rounds four and five were uneventful and were actually the easiest ones thus far! I attribute this to acupuncture, which I’m loving. It feels very healing and restful, and it’s definitely been helping with the physical side effects from chemo. I’ve also been able to have IV fluids from home for the last couple of cycles, which has helped with fatigue and nausea.

I have another PET scan in the middle of next week (!) which we are anxiously awaiting. I’m not sure how quickly I’ll get the results but will post when I have the info and have had a little time to process.

I can’t believe it was winter when this all started and now it’d full-on summer in Philly - it has been HOT! I’ve been playing around with lots of different scarf and hat combinations as the wig is very uncomfortable on warm days. I bought a “hat wig” that has hair on the sides and is meant to be worn under a hat or scarf, which is much better for these hot temps. I’m trying to get up the nerve to rock the fully bald look out in public but haven’t done it yet!

In other news, Archie is doing great and is spending a lot of time in the pre-school class, though he hasn’t officially moved up yet and we’re getting antsy! He is definitely more challenged in the big kid classroom, and his bestie Sam is there. Fingers crossed the move will be official soon.

Lots of love to all & another thank you for your check-ins and encouragement!!

Lisa

Ps. Its our 4 year wedding anniversary today!
